2. Foolproof Home Measurement Steps for Bangles

Closed round bangles must glide smoothly over the widest knuckle of your hand, not just sit on your wrist. Use either method:
Measure existing bangle diameter on ruler
Method 1: Measure an Existing Bangle
1. Take a closed round bangle that slips comfortably onto your hand. 2. Place it on a flat table alongside a standard millimeter ruler. 3. Measure straight across the inside edge to edge (inner diameter). 4. Match your reading to our chart above (e.g., 60.3 mm = Size 2-6).
Measure hand knuckle with tape
Method 2: Hand Knuckle Circumference
1. Bring your thumb and little finger together towards palm center. 2. Wrap a flexible tailor’s tape around the widest knuckles of your hand. 3. Note the circumference in mm and compare with the circumference column in our chart.
Expert Sizing Advice:
• For openable screw kadas with hinges, you can comfortably choose one size smaller than your closed bangle size. • Hands naturally expand in warm summer weather or during pregnancy; opt for a slightly relaxed fit. • Traditional lakhi filled tode and patlya sit best when sized to slide without force.

2. How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home

Follow these simple home techniques to measure your ring size accurately:
Wrap paper strip around finger
Method 1: Paper Strip Method
1. Cut a narrow strip of paper approximately 10 cm long. 2. Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you intend to wear the ring on. 3. Mark where the strip overlaps with a fine-tip pen. 4. Measure the length in millimeters against a ruler to find your circumference.
Measure inner diameter of existing ring on ruler
Method 2: Inside Diameter of an Old Ring
1. Select a ring that fits the target finger comfortably. 2. Place the ring over a millimeter ruler and measure the widest internal distance. 3. Ensure you do not include the metal rim thickness in your reading.
Essential Rules for Ring Sizing:
• Wide Band Rule: Rings with a band width exceeding 5 mm feel tighter on the finger. Always choose one size larger for wide wedding or traditional cocktail bands. • Knuckle Clearance: If your knuckle is significantly larger than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size in between. • Time of Day: Measure at the end of the day when fingers are at their normal, warm size rather than in the early morning.
